What We Collect

Bag2Charity offers a free doorstep collection service for a wide range of donated items. Whether you're clearing out a wardrobe, sorting through the kids' old toys, or having a full home declutter — if it's in good condition, we'll take it. Everything we collect is reused or recycled, raising funds for our charity partners and keeping usable items out of landfill. Before your collection, make sure everything is packed in a bag or box. Fragile items should be wrapped. We can't collect loose items.

  • Bed Linen — Sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases. No duvets or pillows, sorry.

Toys, Books & Bric-a-Brac

Got more than just clothes? Good. We collect a wide range of small household items and bric-a-brac alongside clothing donations. Items should be no larger than a standard microwave in size.

Looking to donate soft toys or teddies? We'd love to take them. Clean soft toys and teddies in good condition are always welcome — just pop them in a bag alongside your other donations.

  • Soft Toys & Teddies — Clean and in good condition. No size limit as long as they fit comfortably in a bag.
  • Toys & Games — Children's toys, puzzles, and games. Complete sets preferred but not essential.
  • Books — Fiction, non-fiction, children's books, and reference books.
  • Antiques & Ornaments — Decorative items, figurines, vases, collectables.
  • Musical Instruments — Smaller instruments such as recorders, ukuleles, and harmonicas.
  • Pictures & Artwork — Framed prints and pictures in reasonable condition.
  • Sports Equipment — Smaller items such as rackets, yoga mats, and skipping ropes.
  • Tools — Hand tools in good working condition.
  • Utensils — Kitchen and household utensils of all kinds.

What We Can't Accept

To make sure your donated items can be reused or responsibly recycled, there are a few things we're unable to collect. If you're unsure about a specific item, feel free to include it — our team will sort through on collection.

  • Duvets, pillows, cushions, heavy blankets, throws, and sleeping bags
  • Socks, underwear, dressing gowns, and pyjamas (unless new and unused)
  • School uniforms and workwear
  • Personalised or event clothing (printed T-shirts, sports team kits, etc.)
  • Wet, damp, dirty, or heavily soiled items
  • Clothing with strong odours or animal hair
  • Damaged or heavily worn clothing
